FEZANA Bestows Lifetime Achievement Award to Ervad Dr. Jehan Bagli

At a glittering 30th Anniversary Gala in Houston, FEZANA bestowed the Lifetime Achievement Award to Ervad Dr. Jehan Bagli. The Gala was hosted by the Zoroastrian Association of Houston at its center, along with their Congress Legacy 10th Anniversary awards function.

All the seven past presidents were present along with the current President Homi D. Gandhi to honour Dr. Bagli.

In his acceptance speech Dr. Bagli thanked the community for giving him the opportunity to serve. He dedicated the award to his wife Freny who was present on this momentous occasion along with his son Darius. In a moving acceptance speech he spoke about his humble upbringings and the journey from India to Canada over the past six decades.

Dr. Bagli also inaugurated the 30th Anniversary Issue of the FEZANA Journal, and the Journal chief editor Dolly Dastoor said it was a befitting moment that the Journal’s very first editor would inaugurate this 30th anniversary issue.

Immediate Past President Katayun Kapadia was the master of ceremonies for the evening when FEZANA also launched its new logo design. A retrospective of FEZANA’s work over the past few years was presented to the audience.

Local Houston kids performed various entertainment items to cap off a memorable evening.

FEZANA represents a diverse and growing Zarathushti community in North America.

Guided by the blessings of AHURA MAZDA and the teachings of our Prophet Zarathushtra; the association was founded in 1987 It serves as the coordinating body for 27 Zoroastrian Associations in the United States and Canada.

The activities of FEZANA are conducted in a spirit of mutual respect, co-operation and unity amongst all Member associations, and with due regard for the principles of GOODNESS, TRUTH, REASON, BENEVOLENCE, IMPLICIT TRUST and CHARITY towards all Mankind.
