An Appeal For Covid-19 Aid to India

Dear Zarathushtis across North America,

Based on the severe impact of COVID-19 across India over the past two weeks, from high rates of spread to a new Indian variant strain, the situation is dire. We are seeing a groundswell of genuine interest from folks looking to donate, particularly for our Zoroastrian Parsi-Irani populations across Mumbai, rural Maharashtra and Gujarat, as well as other locations in need.

FEZANA will work in collaboration with WZO Trust Funds to directly help individuals in need. We will also work with Zoroastrian organizations in need and provide them help and aid as permissible by local laws and regulations.

We wish our brothers and sisters in India safe outcomes and a quick turnaround from this truly dangerous virus, and are pleased to see the United States administration heed the plea from Adar Poonawalla, Chairman of the Serum Institute of India, and the rest of the world to accelerate the export of material required to mass produce COVID-19 vaccines for those in need.
