FEZANA Sends Delegates to Oceans Conference in Nice, France . .. 6 June 2025

NICE, FRANCE — June 6, 2025 — The Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America (FEZANA) will participate in the high-level 2025 United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14 – Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development, from June 9 to 13, 2025.

The conference, co-hosted by Costa Rica and France, aims to accelerate action and mobilize all sectors to address the pressing challenges facing the world’s oceans, including rising temperatures, plastic pollution and overexploitation of marine resources. 

With over 60 world leaders, 4,000 government officials, and 6,000 civil society participants expected, the event will focus on fostering partnerships and commitments to conserve and sustainably use the ocean. 

FEZANA’s participation underscores its commitment to water conservation and in promoting SDG 14, contributing to global efforts in ocean conservation.

Vista Khosravi (London, UK)

Vista Khosravi is an Environmental scientist working on various renewable and water-based projects based in the UK, helping develop sustainable, innovative ways to balance the needs of humans, and the environment. Vista is fascinated by the abundance and harmonious relationships of the earth’s rich ecosystem, and how we as humans should strive to preserve and protect this harmony.

Shahin Bekhradnia (Oxford, UK) 

Shahin Bekhradnia grew up in England, obtained her undergraduate degree in Modern Languages and post-graduate degree in Anthropology from Oxford University. She has served for 29 years as a magistrate in the criminal and family courts in Oxfordshire. Shahin is known and respected for her detailed knowledge on environmental policies.
