For A JOINT WZOT / WZCC-INDIA/ FEZANA PROJECT
TO PRIVIDE CLEAN DRINKING WATER TO THE ZOROASTRIAN FAMILIES RESIDING IN THE VILLAGE OF BARDIPADA.
One of the objectives of WZCC (World Zoroastrian Chamber of Commerce) is to get involved in Socio-Business projects to help the less fortunate Zoroastrian population in India. It is one of the objectives of FEZANA to engage in charitable activities as required by the Zoroastrian faith.
WZCC worked with WZOT (World Zoroastrian Organization Trust) and FEZANA to identify this worthy project of providing clean drinking water to Twenty plus Zoroastrian Families in the village of Bardipada. The village of Bardipada is situated in Taluka Surgana of District Nashik in Maharashtra State. It is just a kilometer within Maharashtra State border with Gujarat.
There is an acute shortage of clean drinking water in the village. The shortage can be overcome by drilling a well 350 feet below the ground and installing a water tank and submersible pump operated by Solar generated energy. Additionally, plumbing will be required from the water tank to the Twenty plus family’s huts/cottages. Initial testing indicate that the well water should be potable. If final testing indicates otherwise, purification system will be installed depending on the contamination present.

FEZANA reserves the right to use the donated funds for any exempt purposes in keeping with FEZANA’s exempt purposes; and FEZANA is not obligated to give any donations to WZOT. The project, including limited contingency, is estimated to cost about INR 1 million ($15,000).
