AN ENDOWMENT DEDICATED TO ALL ZARATHUSHTI WOMEN SET UP BY WOMEN, FOR WOMEN

In loving memory of an incredible woman, Mehrbanoo Bamasipour (Zardoshty), her daughters, Paridokht, Homayoun, Iran and Farangis (Zardoshty) in honor of their mother’s memory have setup and dedicate this endowment to help Zarathushti women in need of a lending hand.

1. This endowment will be known as: Mehrbanoo Bamasipour (Zardoshty) Welfare/Critical Needs Endowment for Women.
2. This Endowment will help Zarathushti women who are 18 years and older residing in North America (U.S. and Canada).
3. The recipients shall be Zarathushti women who due to inferior socio-economic conditions and difficult family circumstances, to include but not be limited to an abusive relationship, or are newly divorced and destitute; and are being deprived of the basic necessities of a dignified life.
4. The funds shall be utilized for medical, clothing, food, clean shelter and/or other emergencies to restore a peaceful life for the recipients.
5. The source of funds shall be the income generated from the principal of the Endowment ($100,000); as such the principal stays intact.
6. The FEZANA’s Welfare and Critical Needs Committee shall oversee the application process, selection of recipients and disbursement of funds and will keep all information confidential.
7. The Welfare and Critical Needs Committee must have at least two (2) women as members.
8. The frequency of disbursement of the Funds shall be at the sole discretion of the above Committee depending on the urgency of needs.Due to the nature of this Endowment, in order to preserve the privacy of the recipients, FEZANA does not need to publish the names and information of the recipients, but to provide an annual report of the endowment to Farangis Zardoshty.
9. Additional donations from other community members to this Endowment are always welcome.

Except to the extent as noted above and to the extent applicable, the TERMS OF REFERENCE (T o R) For FEZANA WELFARE, CRITICAL / MEDICAL ASSISTANCE, DISASTER / POVERTY RELIEF FUND as amended from time to time will apply to the endowment.
