Making Interfaith Connections – July 2022

News from the FEZANA Interfaith Activities Committee

MAY 2022:

RELIGIONS FOR PEACE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

FEZANA was represented by Maya Joshi, a youth member from the ZAKOI community, at the 3rd Annual National Day of Prayer hosted by Religions for Peace, USA, on 5th May.  Maya offered a prayer, alongside several other religions’ representatives, at this national interfaith event, where the theme was   ‘Prayer Service for Peace and Justice’. Please see video of Maya praying at this link.

Maya reinforced through the ‘Vispa Humata’ prayer that may all mankind stay united through our good thinking minds, so that, all the words we express, and all the actions we commit to, are dedicated to furthering peace, and justice for everyone, in our beautiful world.

JUNE 2022:

The Guibord Center and IslamiCity bring together people with rich spiritual backgrounds and diverse perspectives to share powerful stories from the heart. In one of their recent programs in June, called Inspiring Stories: Raising Interfaith Kids, the FEZANA Interfaith Activities committee invited Janet and Farrokh Mistry to participate as panelists in this conversational program.  You can view this program at https://theguibordcenter.org/inspiring-stories-2022/

We thank Janet and Farrokh Mistry for their willing participation in this wonderful program.
