Mark your calendars, October 11-13, 2019, for Zoroastrian Association of Houston’s (ZAH) annual library event for an enlightening program on how the knowledge of the past is a bridge to the future of a faith that has influenced all the major religions of the world.
For the first time, the ZAH teams with FIRES (FEZANA Information Research Education Service) and SSZ (Society of Scholars of Zoroastrianism) to bring you an exciting program. Speakers will include the world-renowned scholar of Zoroastrian studies, Almut Hintze, chairperson of Zoroastrian Studies at the University of London’s SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies); Kersi Shroff, founding member of the Zoroastrian Association of Washington (ZAMWI), who has travelled extensively in Central Asia and the Caucuses, tracing the footsteps of early Zoroastrianism, and ZAH’s very own young ordained priests.
Also, join your fellow Zarathushtis for a tour of the new, and first of its kind, Bhandara Atash Kadeh—Houston’s own monument to a great faith.
Knowledge is strength and your attendance at this informative program is very much anticipated to keep the Zarathushti faith strong and thriving.
Stay tuned or visit www.zah.org for speaker topics and timings for this extraordinary ZAH event.
