Zoroastrian Delegation to Deliver Panel Discussion at United Nations HQ

ZOROASTRIAN DELEGATION TO DELIVER PANEL DISCUSSION AT UN HEADQUATERS AS PART OF THE 63TH COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN (CSW 2019)

FEZANA will be participating at the 63th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) Conference to be held at the UN Headquarters in New York, USA. The group representing from FEZANA are from USA and Canada, and they will be presenting a panel discussion titled “Educating Girls: An Empowering Tool to Promote Prosperity & Gender Equality”. The presentation will be covering three of the seventeen UN Sustainable Development Goals.

  • Goal 1: No Poverty
  • Goal 4: Quality Education
  • Goal 5: Gender Equality

Social change to uplift society comes when men and women are treated equally with respect and dignity. This aspirational goal cannot be reached without educating the girl child. The panel will discuss how education empowers girls in the villages in India and Africa to eliminate poverty.

If you are in the New York area, please attend the workshop. We will be presenting twice, once at ZAGNY and once at the United Nations.
